As a non white female, I would never try because I know they will turn me down. I was not treated that well with a C ticket travelling alone. I was told to wait and the pax who came after me got their rooms before me. My flight got to IST at 10:30 pm and I arrived at the hotel at 2am.
The other times I flew Y with Mr (white male) we got a room much faster and were treated nicer.
That's terrible 😔
So, if my transit time is only 9 hours, and it takes 3.5 hours to get to the hotel, and probably need to check out at least one hour before the flight, I will only get max of 4.5 hours rest in the hotel after going through all the trouble.
