They can’t really feel any sort of way, at least not officially, as they are direct competitors until the merger suit trial is over and a deal either closes or doesn’t.
But if you look back at Spirit entering DEN years ago, they had to fight for one gate to share, which moved around. Then they had a possible second spot which was ramp boarding down in the lower part of A by where the EAS carriers used to be (Denver Air Connection and Great Mistakes). I believe they had to do redeyes initially because there wasn’t an RON parking… I think actually jetBlue was on the gate. They finally got a second gate and a more permanent spot on C.
