I find sleeping in a lie-flat business class seat on an airplane in general to be easier than sleeping on Amtrak. This isn’t true if there’s turbulence, but a smooth flight is much smoother than a typical Amtrak ride in my experience. On the plus side, Amtrak doesn’t suffer from the dry air airplanes do which can improve sleep comfort.
