Alas key for the future, if you’re getting resistance for something you know is possible, save yourself time and just try and curtail the call ready for calling up again rather than trying to battle/reason with a potential inadequately trained agent.
Agree on Qantas. Even cash bookings seem impossible! What used to be an easy hop to Canberra is now impossible online and they try to route you from Syd to Melbourne and then to Canberra on a mainline flight. Some might say book a separate ticket but QF won’t thru-check (nothing new) but the frequency that they cancel or delay that little hope is the issue. Even before Covid it is the one leg I’d always want protected.
