Hoping FT can offer me some advice. I’ve been 1K for 5 years now. I’m LAX based and will currently end the year at 38k PQP on purely United metal (around 55k when you count LH/ANA 016 flights). I have one trip to Tokyo coming up in December out of nyc. If I fly United, I’d end the year with 44k PQP on UA metal. Typically I’d fly ANA as I’d get the room biz class and have a great track record of using PP to upgrade to first.

At $44K fior a first time qualifier you'd definitely be on the low end - since GS benefits keep getting gutted and there is no guarantee you'd get invited, my perspective would be to enjoy every flight as much as you can
