Yes, of course it's code share, this type of agreement just means one airline sells seats on a flight operated by the other, with each airline using their own flight number. 70% of flights I fly world wide are codeshare, and points are only awarded by the
operating airline,
unless a specific frequent flyer agreement is signed where the
ticketing airline allows you to collect points on their program instead. (unusual)
However, this is the first time where the
operating airline is not allowing points accrual, and I was wondering if this was indeed correct.
But I guess it's indeed yet another Etihad specific problem, where the result is that flying Etihad for me and my colleagues means no points at all.
