Correct. I always give my ID to my CSR friends from Walmart, and they always reject it as they tell me not to worry as the system never asks for it unless it is $1,000+ or if they want/feel the need to. So, my $999 + $1 Fee MO with split payment prints without ID.
this ^ is typical at my local Walmart in Northern Utah. One particular CSR always asks for ID for my $999 money order. None of the 3 or 4 others have ever asked me for ID
