We were on the Waitlist for a while BEFORE the announcement .. the PNR shows the Waitlist for OY is still there.
2) Was it automatic at the number of miles stated at the time - we were 45,000 each Middle East to USA or was it problematic and had to be manually forced?
3) If the grandfathering had to be manually forced, does anyone have any pointers on what to say?

yes, one for my aunt and uncle cleared a few weeks after the change in D1. I had to call him to confirm it had cleared because it wouldn’t clear automatically. They had to go reissue manually because of the new changes. So our ticket was in limbo till I called
