The spirits suck, and those just changed so those won’t be changing again in a matter of months. Gibsons Gin, replacing Hendricks has no place in Business Class it’s like a małpki. At first I liked the Drumshanbo Gin (only in Elite not onboard at all) but it’s not grown on me and I miss the Hendricks, especially as there is no alternative to the Drumshanbo except Gibsons (by going to the FTL section). It’s like one of those gins you get via a gin club, and as I see it in many places, it’s just being pushed by the distributor. There is still stock of Hendricks on SH (like how it weirdly has the new glassware but longhaul barely does) which I presume will be replaced by Gibsons.

Gautier is a shadow of the 1738 Remy Martin it has replaced onboard. They’re clearly much cheaper. The Gautier is just a VS. 1738 sits between VSOP and XO. The Malt is also gone from onboard. William Peel, Bushmills Original are all bottom shelf in my book.

Nothing screams “premium airline” like Wilk claims LOT is. Why would there be a few decent drinks in a lounge, but none of that is carried onboard to Business Class, even on longhaul?

I’m not a vodka drinker but even there, its just Baczewski onboard which is cheap as chips.

The short haul wines are terrible. "Nos Racines" the equivalent of Hardy's and this cheap crap used in the Warsaw hotel lounges and the sparkling?! Well, let’s not say anything more about that. Hence, as soon as the Hendricks is gone I’ll probably be asking for a “Bacardi and Coke Myfanwy”.

Unless the Polish wines are given to Basia at a huge discount, like BArb with Diageo, then Basia can get far better wines for the same money as Polish stuff because its niche and expensive.

Basia's sommelier isn't her sommelier at all, he works for Centrum Wina, the largest distributor in PL, which basically means he pushes the stuff that they want to flog for their best interests. Pretty odd if you ask me? The end result is obvious.
