I’ve only flown basic economy once because someone else bought the ticket and did that to me and I was stuck in the middle seat in the back. And there were several other people who were really upset about their seat, and they went to the gate agent, and they told the gate agent how important they were, and they were in the middle seats in the back near me. If you can’t take the middle seat in the back, don’t book this. don’t assume that you can sweet talk your way into the better seat with the gate agent or you’ll get lucky and get 1A like somebody else talked about above. You could be getting what you paid for. I realize that is a radical concept but it’s real
and by the way, you can only purchase seats seven days in advance if they’re available. In my case they were not. The only thing available was middle seats.
