A while back I was flying F out of BKK, and the check in agent made me check a bag I wanted to carry on even though it was less than 2 kilos overweight. Was I salty? Yep. But I also realized rules are the rules so didn’t make a big deal over it. To expect that published rules won’t be enforced and to take offense when they are is just a reciepe for aggravation. And fwiw, I highly doubt QR uses Palestinian air space as they can’t use Israeli air space, and it’s pretty much impossible to fly over Palestine and not Israel. (Although I’ve been routed over the gulf of Aqaba and over the Sinai)
