My case is as follows
- Currently "platinum since 6 years"
- Requalify on December 31 2023; will have 900xp remaining after requalification. I will then be "plat since 7 years"
- On December 31 2024 I will requalify and be "plat since 8 years"; I will have at least 600XP remaining. Will those 600 XP translate into 2 PFL years - making me PFL as of December 31 2024?
Supposing you do not earn any XP over 900 between December 23 and December 24 this will happen:
You requalify December 24/ January 1, 2025. At this point you have 600XP after requalification. 300XP will be rolled over. The other 300XP will be converted into 1 more year for PFL. Whatever is left (if you have 605. 655, 895...) is carried over also.
You will have 8+1 year and 300XP plus whatever was left in the bank. You will become PFL as of January 1, 2026 (or December 31, 2025 end of day, if you prefer).
Your PFL is guaranteed either way, but if you want to enter 2025 already with lifetime status, you have to earn 300 more XP until then.
P.S.: Update your "Programs" in your profile :P
