I once ran into a cabin baggage limit. Right after I had cleared the initial security before checkin I took my jacket off and stuff it and other things into my bag. When I was told it was overweight by 2 kilos I explained I just transferred everything into the bag. They did not care. So I put my jacket and extra sweatshirt back on. Then stuffed my phone and other electronics into the pockets. The agent realized I was just going to continue and said that was fine. I then put everything back in and carried on.
