This is before any multiplier from having AAdvantage status.
For those with status, a B fare can get converted to an 'S' or 'V' once the system puts in for the complimentary upgrade, at which time the Base Miles are 50%.
A straight B fare (shows "B" on ticket), per the chart shows at 10%.

Now if you are an AAdvantage member/have status:
AAdvantage member: 5 Loyalty Points per dollar spent
AAdvantage Gold: 7 Loyalty Points per dollar spent
AAdvantage Platinum: 8 Loyalty Points per dollar spent
AAdvantage Platinum Pro: 9 Loyalty Points per dollar spent
AAdvantage Executive Platinum: 11 Loyalty Points per dollar spent

So for a $500 "V" flight, an EXP would earn 11x500... multiplied by .50 (50%). = 2750LPs
In main cabin, that would be 5500LPs.

Wife (EXP) and I went through this exercise a few weeks ago with an agent, trying to figure out why she only got half her expected points, and also what an "S" fare was... (the agent did not know until she asked her supervisor).
We have since stopped purchasing Basic Economy fares.
