I have two quick questions regarding ORC. Ms SWMBO Stanbury was booked on KLM AMS-YYC-YWG tomorrow, Nov 4. She has just been told that her flight to YYC (KL677) has been cancelled and she has been re-accommodated on Air Canada via YYZ and YUL.

I have looked at this thread and have noted the many posts indicating that ORC can be claimed for involuntary re-routings. I have 2 small questions of further clarification/confirmation:

1. Since this is an involuntary re-routing into a non-alliance partner (AC being SA) is she still eligible for ORC on her FP account? This is important as these would be the XP's which take her to the dizzy heights of Platinum.

2. She is also Gold (50K) on AC. Would it be unwise to add her AC FF number when checking in for her flight? She is not really looking to double dip on points and has already qualified for AC Elite for 2024, but she would be glad to have the Elite privileges on her AC flights.

Thanks in advance for any info and advice.
