After my last work trip of the year in a couple of weeks, I'll be a few miles shy of 11,000 PQP. Trying to decide if the out-of-pocket expense for Plat is worth it. I think I would like Plat b/c we'll be taking a family trip next year for my daughter's HS graduation and it would be nice to at least all get E+ at no additional cost (although I'd obviously be paying for it now). Thoughts?

On the reservation page for that trip, United helpfully has a link to "Add to your Premier® qualifying miles by earning even more with this trip​​." (Award Accelerator, I assume) Unhelpfully, that link appears broken.
