I heard from a few other folks on another forum who were having similar issues as you and I are (I never had issues until August). I haven't bothered to test further so far because I found another way to play this that doesn't involve GCs.com. That said assuming you can use on Uber you can buy a $15 Uber e-gift card for testing purposes which might be easier than continuing to test with higher value VGCs.
