IAD-HND UA803 11/2 got cancelled. It shows divert (30min landing back at IAD?) and then 6hiur delay then cancelled, who knows why/if they diverted in the first place?

NH101 IAD-HND 11/2 has 3 hour delay, NH101 11/3 cancelled ..
I see plenty of NH/UA planes delayed for 11/2
someone must be unhappy
2 friends of mine were on this flight. They apparently downgraded about 30 people and removed about 50 from the flight to add extra fuel. Then taxi’d out to the runway when the pilot came on and said there wasn’t enough pilots to make the flight now with the diversion so came back and cancelled. They then waited for 9 hours to get United to reschedule them… it was a pretty horrific travel day and handling by United.
