You board before basic economy. Everything else regarding rarity or availability of space and number of customers in each category is speculation.

EDIT: re read my comment and didnt mean for it to be abrupt. Just that it isnt something anyone here can answer. If youre in main cabin without status, assume that your bag could get checked.
