Certainly not on BAEC, where the debates are usually more polite than this. FWIW, I think we need to separate the rights and wrongs of firstclasslad's posting from his right to free speech. I feel no urge to comment on the former, but I am depressed that so many people wish to deny his right to the latter.

The degeneration into name-calling hasn't helped, and indirect name-calling by agreeing with someone else's insults is merely a way of dodging the terms of service while still indulging in personal attacks.

I hope the insult-throwers will confine themselves to more appropriate language.
