Personally I value my relationship with Chase (I am one of 5k JPM Reserve cardholders) and I prefer to avoid short-term churn so I generally hold my cards for at least two years. Obviously there are dozens of data points from people who cancel at 1yr with no repercussions. Then there are others who are in Chase jail.
IMO Chase will not care if you cancel one card a year. But to be safe maybe apply for the Hyatt card first and then cancel WN, if you are under 5/24.
