Sorry, but I have to disagree with this statement. IMO, Vietnam & Vietnamese people are a much nicer and kind to foreigners. I spent 4 days in Bangkok, and I never want to come back there again. Everyone tried to cheat us: taxi drivers, street vendors, tour operators. The islands are better but still not as friendly as in Vietnam.
To the OP, if you can swing by Danang for a few days, IC Danang is one of my favorite resorts there.
