something seems to have changed though re: Teslas. I'm having a harder time finding places with Model Y's. They seem to have focused on Model 3 Std. ranges. has anyone found dual motor Model 3's at any locations? thinking of winter, rather be driving something with AWD.

I’ve rented EV’s from Hertz twice and will not do it again. Their return policies are opaque and changing. On the first rental it was OK to return at 70% without an extra fee. On the second the hit me with a $35 refuel fee for just going 37 miles. My contract clearly showed a $0.11 fee per mile but the actual charge was over $1 per mile. The $35 fee was not mentioned anywhere on my contract. The EV has a lower list price than a gas car but after the $35 surcharge much more.
that's odd, haven't seen a mileage charge in years. what location was this if I may ask? was it a "special" manager's deal maybe?
the $35 charge for me is always buried in the contract that I had to view online. but last time I rented (spring '23), there was only the $35 pre-charge offer and a separate $35 for returning under 70%.
