They have a travel agent portal, and I've seen some agents list being a member of their program, but I don't know if they get any real perks like the major programs. What has your upgrade success rate been like through Leaders Club? In this case, the Virtuoso rate is the same as the Leaders Club rate (accounting for the $100 F&B credit, which I will use - the cocktail bar at this hotel is most excellent), and the Virtuoso booking should be eligible for Leaders Club benefits - I don't know how this would impact the magical upgrade roulette wheel.
I have usually received an upgrade at a LHW when booking directly through LHW.com as a Leaders Club member. Never to any kind of palatial suite, but usually a notable view upgrade in say Switzerland. But this is about the same as I get using Virtuoso too... a one category upgrade at my Langham Boston stay for example. I think it really is a lottery. There are just too many variables.
