I hope I am posting this question in the correct thread...

My family will be traveling to Japan in December and I am trying to decide whether we should all be using our AA mileage# or JMB# on our tickets.
Our flights (all booking class I)
* JL69 LAX 13:10 > KIX 18:50, JL228 KIX 21:10 > HND 22:20
* JL16 HND 16:25 > LAX 9:10

At the top of my email confirmation, it states "Accumulating mileage" to HND is 7501 and 6822 for the return.
  1. Does this mean that we would *each* earn 14,323pts if we use our JMB#, but only ~4300pts (USD cost pp before fuel/insurance surcharge and taxes) if we used our AA#s?
  2. My kids will likely not be going to Japan again so JMB miles would be wasted, but my understanding is they can transfer their miles to me as part of a family share program, is this correct?
  3. If this type of transfer is allowed, then it seems like in this situation JMB mileage# should be used instead of AA#. Would you agree?
Thank you in advance for your input!
