It sounds like you were flying UK domestic.

The camera to the gate area is to allow you to mingle in the departure area with people who have not crossed the UK border. You had a photo taken when you entered the departure area nd it is compared with leaving departure are onto the aircraft.

This is not an issue at US airports on US domestic as everyone enters the US

As for One World Sapphire, if you made your booking using when logged into a ba.com account the that number will be associated with the booking. It can sometimes be changed in MMB but you need to log out of ba.com and retrieve the boking using the PNR. If that does not work you can try in on the finnair website, same process.
