Despite the desperately OCD clearing of all cookies, browser history etc and shutting the browser and computer down afterwards before switiching back on and going back into estore (same as I've always done), I haven't had a single purchase with mutliple different retailers register as "pending" in my account for over 18 months. Including with those I had never had a missed transaction with before.

And when claiming, CS respond that the t&cs of such and such a partner say they will not entertain missing claims. So that’s that, despite the click records and invoices.

It's not very good. Presumably BA still get their click through fee though as the click referral numbers do always do show in my estore account, just never any purchases. And the retailer gets the sale without having to pay for the avios. So happy days for 2 out of 3.
