are you not taking an additional flight, going from DUB to LHR and then expecting the cost to be cheaper? Whilst revenue is of course cheaper, as the market is different, that doesn’t mean that reward flights should be cheaper.
You might have lost it in the details of some of the posts, but they charge an extra 15K avios +£1 for the dub-lhr sector (which is what they would charge if you were flying that sector alone) plus the full redemption price + full redemption cash as if you were starting in LHR.
