So on Sunday I'm flying from FRA to DMM and received the pre-flight servicing email with the usual gubbins. However what's new is the ability to pre-select my main course with some additional options that aren't available on board.
Clicking the link, did indeed get a choice of six mains, so went for a roast beef and what look like roast potatoes. As I can't have a Sunday roast in the pub, this will have to do.
However, whomever design the UI is on another planet. It's done as a "shopping" experience, and all four segments are displayed (however only one of them is selectable). Once you manage to step through the process you do get a confirmation.
I pointed this out to a colleague who's travelling with me, and they went into manage my booking to find the link. It's not there. There are no entry points what-so-ever from Lufthansa.com.
It appears to be hosted on a completely separate URL with no links from the main site.

My guess is that this was the only way that they could get the functionality implemented quickly, and that integration will come in time, however again, the UX is crap.
