Hi, flying from Western Europe to the US, I think Finnair is now the only way to earn miles based on flown mileage rather than ticket fare. Does this include codeshares i.e. LHR-JFK with an AY fliht number, but AA or BA metal? The AAdvantage "partner airline" page says Finnair marketed and operated flights and as Finnair codeshare flights operated by Finnair affiliate airline Flybe, or other oneworldŽ carriers, which makes me think that it'll be ok. On the other hand, unless I know upfront what the base fare would be on AA or BA, it's hard to know if the mileage earnt on AY is more lucrative than on AA or BA. I'd be on a discount ecoonomy fare, though not basic economy,, and am currently Platinum. Makes me long for the old days!
