The process at HAL is very much focused on the 6 hours ahead at any time - so I wouldn't read into this that all will be fine by time x, these sorts of warnings can simply be extended / changed every few hours. Bristol seems to be at higher risk than London, from my amateur reading of the synoptic chart but perhaps earlier on for Bristol.
Appreciate this may be a bit technical, but the Met Office's aviation low level forecast until 020500Z (5am GMT tomorrow morning) is as follows:



As can be seen, Bristol is certainly going to be hit earlier than London. The low (currently forecast as around 972hPa) will pass over England diagonally, roughly from the Bristol Channel to the Wash. The worst winds will occur around the low, where the closely spaced isobars are seen.
