To anyone else reading this thread it looks like you do need to be very careful reading the current T&Cs before you book rather than just read the wiki here.
I can't see anything else that has changed this time.
It doesn't say that the person travelling needs to be a UK resident. I wonder if someone in the UK call centre would count? But clearly something was 'up' that caused them to put this clause in.
Perhaps we need to change the thread title again to "..now including from USA as long as you are a UK resident"
