I worked for an airline for 36 years, and now I fly a ton, so I feel qualified to respond to your questions. It pisses me off because it’s the ultimate FU to me as a customer. It pisses me off because it’s fantastically unprofessional, and an FU to the other crew member or members who are working up front. It pisses me off because it’s a make shift barrier not approved by the airline or manufacturer. It pisses me off because if I’m sitting in coach, they’ve just made it harder for me to take a piss, with more contorted moves to enter and exit the Lav. Hopefully it pisses off AA enough that it’s the last time we see that kind of stupidity on one of their jets.
