Two I class returns BKK-SFO during the 2x promo earlier this year accrued me 984 Qpoints. Even at 1x that's then only a few short hauls across the year from reaching or renewing platinum. The ultra long haul routes such as Aus/ NZ or west coast US can be particularly rewarding
