Good evening folks,
I am a former Etihad Platinum returning to the middle east after a few year hiatus.
It seems I am no longer able to get Etihad Guest points for Etihad operated flights, unless the ticket was actually purchased from Etihad, does anybody else have the same experience?
I have tried to buy my tickets from Etihad, but Etihad doesn't recognize some of the airports I fly to, so I need to purchase tickets from airlines who do.
Unfortunately when I do that I am told I can not get Etihad Guest points for the Etihad operated main segment.(?!?)

I cannot recalling ever having this problem before, having flown plenty of flight combinations with Etihad flights in them...and been getting my points... is this a new policy?
I don't seem to have the same problem with Emirates, but I wasn't planning on switching airline so soon...
