Document Validity requirements for Green Card....While traveling back to USA
Members,
I have a travel coming up outside of USA. During the return trip to USA, is there a minimum period that the GREEN CARD should be valid for? So that the airline allows you to board. Or is it sufficient, if the GREEN CARD is still valid on the date of ARRIVAL to USA?
I called a couple of airlines, I was surprised I didnt get a clear answer. My worry is the agents who issue the boarding pass dont apply the 6 month rule to the GREEN CARD as well, similar to how they apply for PASSPORTS.
Can you please share any experiences or CBP information source you may be aware of?
Thanks
