Any thoughts on whether this was legit or not ? Apparently I am to receive an email, but didn't state what the call/email was about.
The Manchester fares and ticketing team calls from 0121 758 0000. I had one of these recently, they then sent me a follow up email with details of the issue (unticketed trip due to the original agent submitting incorrect card details). So likely genuine if from this number, but you should get an email.
