I recently had a several night stay at the Hyatt Centric Ginza Tokyo as well and I concur with everything you said. We LOVED the hotel. Booked a beautiful suite that we loved. Friends with us were in standard rooms that were very functional and well appointed. The breakfast was one of the best, most varied spreads I've seen in years, almost anywhere. (We too went from this hotel to the HR Kyoto. First stay there in a many years. Breakfast in particular was good, but the Centric Ginza Tokyo blew it away.) The location of Centric was excellent in terms of access to subways, as you mentioned. and also to excellent restaurants and of course extraordinary the shopping of Ginza. We found the staff of the hotel friendly and eager to help, though not exceptionally competent or responsive -- but you can't everything. They seemed to be trying hard.

All-in-all this is now my favorite Hyatt in Tokyo.
This has me about to switch my Hyatt House Shibuya 6 night reservation to the HC Ginza for March/April lol.

If I am a Discoverist would you still recommend HC Ginza over HH Shibuya?
