What a complete mess.
Unless my account has been hacked. I've just checked my booking.com account and there are no strange bookings on there. Similarly my BAEC account doesn't seem to have been fiddled with, and the 'correction' does refer to a valid booking.
Nothing is ever truly 'safe' there have been cases of reversals happening 5 years after the transaction.
