T5 conformance

Flying from Naples to Rio via LHR. Ticketed with 95 minute connection. In the event, Naples flight was delayed by 15 minutes and arrived at T5 connections to find I had been offloaded and put on following day’s flight. No email or message to advise what had been done.

Despite delay, when boarding pass was refused it was still 70 mins before scheduled departure time so I sped over to agents and luckily found someone helpful who managed to reload me - though it took him 30 minutes and numerous calls to different numbers. Rio flight was delayed by >30 mins so in the event boarded without an issue (though shoved into 14E).

Would be very grateful for any group wisdom about decision process for offloading. And what is current minimum conformance for T5 longhaul?

thanks in advance.

(Agent was very good and saved BA several hundred pounds so sent in a golden ticket.)

(Have searched for relevant posts but couldn’t find any - apologies if I missed them.)
