For the mileage accelerator, no credit comes from Brim so its a mute point. Once the card is approved a tag gets added to your Flying Blue account and all flown air segments get the accelerator. It posts after every flight regardless of what payment method you used to buy ticket.
Of course, if you don't fly much or have low flight spend, the accelerator is useless.
For me, the value is a promo one-way reward business class ticket from Canada to AMS/CDG every year.
