Too bad since the multiplier for AF would have been significant for this purchase but I’m done with this card which gives me 0 return.

I get it is a case of YMMV with minor financial institutions such as Brim. Though I might be on the luckier side, personally haven't had any major issue receiving mileage points for AFKL flights, purchases or welcome bonus 100XP for both myself and my partner as additional cardholder.

Now the mystery is if the additional cardholder will receive the annual 30XP bonus as well. Otherwise it'd be a waste of $50.

While the primary cardholder (myself) was subject to the FYF promotion, I was billed the $50 additional cardholder fee. I was totally expecting it so no issue there but the interesting thing was that I was charged only after I had made the first ever and the only purchase with the primary card, which was a few month after the activation of both cards and the additional cardholder having received the welcome bonus.
Makes me wonder if I would have never had to pay that fee hadn't I used the card at all ever.
The only reason I had used it for payment was to try the Garmin pay with my watch for the first time.
$50 feels a little too steep for a half-second play with a gadget .
