Since Marriott only makes one wait ten days to inquire about missing points from hotel stays, I most certainly wouldn't wait any longer to contact Marriott to inquire why one's AA miles haven't arrived yet.
And given the tendency in two-party transactions of each to blame the other side, be sure to get the exact date they were sent to AA, how that was accomplished, and ideally some sort of transaction number so AA can follow-up. If the Marriott rep cannot provide this info, perhaps ask to be transferred to IT (information technology) or tech support or the
BONV°Y desk or someone who does have the info.
