I am somewhat appalled to see those changes. I cannot see any upside with these changes at least as an SE. The lounges are already a zoo and it will only get worse. It is getting increasingly difficult to use any eupgrades even when booked in latitude or flexible premium economy and the most recent changes will make it even more difficult to use the eupgrades that AC throws at us. I am currently sitting on 200+ eupgrades and am reluctant to book anything other than business class tix if I really want to sit up front.
