I booked a flight for wife and I to BKK thru Chase Travel on JetBlue but operated by Qatar Airways. After confirming, I picked seats for all legs for $304, which shows as billed by Qatar. Flight itinerary was changed to 24 hours later which we couldn’t do so I called Chase and they helped me get a full refund for the flight and we rebooked on our own thru Korean Air.

When I tried calling to refund the seat charges, Qatar is telling me they’re non refundable. Their website says “they are refundable if involuntarily changed due to safety or operational reasons”. Chase was no help and said it’s up to the airline. Anyone run into something similar before or know a better way to get a refund?

Also, when I emailed Qatar they’re asking for a booking reference number but I can’t find one since it was booked through Chase Travel.
