This is exactly what I plan to do. However, rather than taking the hotel shuttle, I plan to take the NJTransit commuter train (six minutes), connecting to the Air Train (seven minutes). This gives me better flexibility and it should take no more than 20 minutes from the time I leave the Double Tree until I arrive at the UA counter in Terminal C.

YUL-CDG has a lot of O/D traffic, with up to eight flights per day in the summer across AC, AF, and TS. Yet none of them are day time flights. A daytime flight is certainly doable, departing YUL at 08:30 am arriving CDG at 9:30 pm. Too bad we don't have more flights on this schedule.
