The hotel is sold out for a portion of my stay. I'm Titanium but I don't expect that will be worth much. I will email a second-level manager directly before my arrival to introduce myself.
the last Lounge manager told me they get at minimum 50-60 Plat per day, and his record was 120 Plats on one day. So not only no suite upgrade, you might not even get any room upgrades at all.
The real reason for overbooking is the owner loves to sell a ton of discounted room certificates during Taipei's annual "Tourist Conference". No blackout dates and including discount suites. So while foreign business guests like us likely paying $10-20K, the locals may only be paying $3-5K.
