I was surprised with the quality of the food here which was the strongest point for this hotel other than its location. The buffet breakfast in the Kitchen 12 was more than adequate with a variety of well executed local dishes. This should be your top choice as a elite welcome amenity unless you really must have points.
The food at the lounge at breakfast or happy hour is far more limited. We often escaped before the end of our 50 mins slot to Yongkang Lu or a night market for a proper dinner.
Lounge sausage. Similar to 7 Eleven
Hard liquor served. Far more reliable than the insipid table wines
Every seat here was occupied within minutes
Lounge glop
Other than that, don't expect any other forms of elite recognition. I was advised at check in that suite upgrades are almost impossible given the number of elites especially over peak periods like Taipei Pride this weekend.
