YES! They also boarded coach passengers who were checking carryons first. Basically the entire plane boarded before we did and there was no room for our carryons except way back in economy.
Our head FA (can't remember his title but his name was Liam) was wonderful and bolted down the aisle upon landing to grab our bags for us. We were in row 2 so never would have gotten them, and were late for a dinner we had to attend two hours from the airport.

I thought USA/American Airlines boarding process was terrible but this was much much much much worse. Will become gate lice on the way back and hover at the boarding door like everyone else I guess.
