Flight credit was available on anniversary date of card mid September, even though annual fee did not post till statement date later in the month. Paid $150 for a $450 ticket using the credit, a pleasant difference from last year even before the fee posted. 10000 bonus miles posted mid October.
Not sure how this works on a new card, but very civilized on renewal.
My account also shows travel credit available to use on Nov 15 while the AF hasn't posted to the account yet. I'll do a fictitious cancelable booking just to check how the redemption is accounted for once the credit hits my account.
